CILLIAN VALLELY - uilleann pipes, low whistles, whistle

Cillian hails from a renowned musical family in Armagh, Northern Ireland. He first began learning the pipes and whistle at the age of six from his father, Brian (himself an accomplished piper and founder of the Armagh Pipers Club,) and went on to later study classical flute and jazz saxophone at school. He has toured extensively throughout North America, Europe, The Middle East, and Japan, frequently performing with his older brother Niall Vallely and Gerry McKee, both of whom are members of the acclaimed Irish group Nomos, as well as with famed accordion player Paddy O’Brien, and the all-star Irish band Lúnasa. He has also recorded with artists such as Ainé Minogue, John Whelan, and Susan McKeown, among others.
