| NOEL SCOTT - accordian
From Ballinasloe in East Galway, Ireland, Noel began playing accordion at age 12, learning first from his father and renowned local musician Tommy Madden, and later becoming influenced by the music of Jackie Daly and Mairtin O’Connor. Since moving to Boston in 1993, he has been instrumental in the revival of that city’s now thriving traditional music scene. While living there, he toured and recorded with the band Sunday’s Well, and also played with both Paddy Keenan and Seamus Connolly. In 1994, he formed Thunderhead with piper Cillian Vallely, playing at festivals and concerts as far afield as Florida, California and Alaska. Noel also plays with the group An Cré, which features Lisa Gutkin and former Solás vocalist Sheila O’Leary.
